Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how a fine art inkjet printer works and how Gicleé prints are usually produced, these reproductions are  printed with pigment-based inks on archival paper, there is no fading in pigment-based inks: their lifespan can range from 100 to 200 years, for this reason Gicleé prints are the best way to reproduce a piece of art.
